About Us

The Original Mecha Contest (O.M.C.) is a global online competition challenging artists and hobbyists to create their own unique mechs. Open to participants worldwide, with rules translated into multiple languages, the O.M.C. celebrates creativity without limits, allowing almost any material and design for entries.

Since its creation in 2019 by visionary founder Kamm, the O.M.C. has fostered a friendly, innovative community. In 2025, Kamm passed the torch to new co-owners, Krumme and Roborovski, who are dedicated to continuing its legacy:

• Krumme: Creator of the light-hearted CupCup Division and multi-year Pro Division winner, now serving as co-owner and primary judge.

• Roborovski: Multi-year participant and donor, stepping into an admin and tie-breaker judge role as the other co-owner.

The O.M.C. rewards participants with prizes from sponsors and donations from the community. Prior rewards included professional grade model kits as trophies, previously sculpted by the talented Paul Beards (Sumimasen Designs), who specializes in CG and 3D art, and printed with meticulous care by Kamm. Krumme and Roborovski would like to continue the O.M.C. Droid trophy tradition, which will be undergoing updates for 2025.
